Mr. Yung believes that in contextual learning and teaching, teachers only present physics contents through everyday life examples. Traditional teaching methods should still predominate. Contextual learning and teaching method has purpose on helping some students who are low in initiative. But it is not appropriate to talk about contexts only and overlook physics concepts, otherwise the attention of the students may be distracted.
In this tryout, IT was used to enhance the presentation of contextual examples. To a certain extent, contextual examples and IT should be introduced, but they should not predominate the lessons. Furthermore, contextual teaching is not the same as IT-assisted teaching. Teachers should not rely too much on the use of IT, instead they can try to create some real demonstrations for teaching, or lead the students to learn in real environments.
